Overview

Purpose. A light, imaginative prompt that often reveals real values.

When to use. In the first 15 minutes of a session, once names are known and the group is settling in.

Best for. Any group size, in person.

Facilitator preparation

  • No materials to gather; just read through the steps once before you run it.

Room setup. Arrange chairs (or ask people to stand) in a single circle so everyone can see each other.

Virtual setup. Works over video call, going around the participant list.

Hybrid setup. Alternate between an in-room and a remote participant for each turn.

Materials.

How to Conduct

  1. Ask everyone to sit in a circle.
  2. Pose the question: “If you were reincarnated, who or what would you like to come back as, and why?”
  3. Give everyone a moment to think.
  4. Go around the circle, each person sharing their answer.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE GROUP

  • Most groups laugh within the first minute; that's a good sign, not a distraction.
