Terms & Conditions

The Platform is an online library of training activities (icebreakers, energizers, discussion methods and core training activities), facilitation references (the Spellbook), and a community space for trainers (The Owlery, Wizards, The Quest and Reviews). Content is provided for professional use in your own training sessions.

• You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when signing up.
• Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Each account may have only one active session at a time; signing in on a second device signs the first one out.
• Sharing your sign-in details, or using another person's account, may lead to your access being restricted or terminated without refund.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.

The Platform offers the following plans. Full details are on the Plans page.

• Free — no charge. Includes every Icebreaker in full, the Abbreviations guide, The Owlery, the Wizards directory, messaging and viewing The Quest leaderboard.
• Trial — a short, time-bound period of full access to every activity, method and Spellbook section, plus Reviews and Quest points.
• Monthly — full access for one month from the date of purchase.
• Yearly — full access for one year from the date of purchase, including the downloadable resources listed on the Plans page.
• Lifetime — full access for the lifetime of the Platform, limited to the number of seats stated on the Plans page.

When a Trial, Monthly or Yearly period ends, your account automatically returns to the Free plan. Your profile, posts and connections are kept; only paid content is locked until you purchase a new plan. Plans do not renew automatically unless clearly stated at checkout.

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise and include applicable taxes where required. Payments are processed securely by Razorpay; by paying you also agree to Razorpay's terms. Your plan is activated once the payment is confirmed. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

From time to time we may run a referral programme. Where offered, a member who refers five (5) new members who each purchase and keep a Yearly plan (a "qualifying referral") becomes eligible for a refund of their own Yearly plan fee. Referrals are verified and the refund is processed manually by the administrator. We may change or withdraw the programme at any time; eligibility already earned will be honoured.

• Use the activities and references in your own training sessions and materials.
• Do not copy, scrape, resell, redistribute or publicly republish the library or the Spellbook, in whole or in substantial part, or use it to build a competing product.
• Do not post content that is unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, misleading or infringes others' rights.
• Do not attempt to bypass plan restrictions, session limits or security measures.

You keep ownership of the reviews, posts, comments, feedback and profile content you submit. You grant The Exceptional Classroom a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Platform and, for feedback you submit through "Share feedback", in our marketing. Feedback is reviewed before it is shown publicly. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

The activity library, the Spellbook, the Facilitator's Activity Handbook, the Platform design and the "Training Wizard's Magic Potion" and "The Exceptional Classroom" names are owned by The Exceptional Classroom or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Your plan gives you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use them as described in these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, including account sharing or abuse of other members. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund.

The Platform is provided "as is". Activities are suggestions; you are responsible for judging whether an activity is suitable and safe for your participants, venue and context. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Exceptional Classroom is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Platform or by email. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
